Monday, 13 February 2017 marks the start of our 30th anniversary year. For the last three decades, Home-Start Aberdeen's trained volunteers have been providing vulnerable families with emotional and practical support in their own homes. Demand for our unique blend of home-based support continues to grow. As a result of this - and in keeping with our 30th anniversary theme - we have launched a #30in30 campaign to recruit 30 new volunteers in 30 weeks. Read on to find out more about what volunteering with us involves. Perhaps you could you be one of our 30 in 30?
Without our volunteers, Home-Start Aberdeen simply would not exist. Our team of 100 volunteers fulfil a number of roles, as follows:
- Home visiting
- Recipe for Life
- Charity shop assistant
- Charity shop collections/delivery driver
- Events support via the Friends of Home-Start Aberdeen.
More information on each of these roles is provided in our volunteering information pack, which is a comprehensive guide to our volunteering opportunities.
