Volunteer preparation course (starts Monday, 3 September 2018)

Starts Monday, 3 September 2018 (eight sessions)

9.30am - 12 noon

Home-Start Aberdeen, 1A Alford Place, Aberdeen

An eight-session training course for new Home-Start Aberdeen volunteers.

Home-Start Aberdeen's volunteer induction course is well-respected and takes place over eight sessions.

It is attended by all new home visiting volunteers, who are also allocated their own Home-Start Aberdeen co-ordinator, who carefully matches them with a referred family and provides them with ongoing training, support and supervision.

The majority of our home visiting volunteers have some parenting experience. They offer support, friendship and practical help to another local family for 2-3 hours per week, according to the family's needs.

Our next course will take place over eight mornings (9.30am - 12 noon), starting on Monday, 3 September with a two-week break in October to accommodate the school holidays.
