The Kiltwalk Aberdeen was due to be held back in June 2020 and like all Kiltwalk and other large events this year it was not possible for the Kiltwalk team to host the event.
At the time Home-Start Aberdeen’s wonderful volunteer Karen Smith raised an amazing £3,000 taking on challenges of her own to raise funds until the Kiltwalk could go ahead.
We also hosted a mini virtual walk of our own on the weekend the Aberdeen walk was due to take place, with some of our supported families, staff, volunteers and friends taking part.
We now know that it is impossible to reschedule with any degree of certainty any of this year’s Kiltwalk events and these will be unable to be held this year.
But it doesn’t end there …
The Kiltwalk team have launched a Virtual Kiltwalk Weekend 11th – 13th September so that people like you can still raise funds for the charities that need your help.
We’d like to invite you to join us and help us to raise funds for families with young children in Aberdeen who need our help.
Over the Virtual Weekend get that tartan on and take on any Kiltwalk Inspired challenge you wish from home. Go for a walk of any length you wish, cycle or even jump on a trampoline … it can be anything and The Hunter Foundation will top up any further funds you raise by 50%*.
