Home-Start Aberdeen is calling on your votes to help win funding in the Aviva Community Fund awards for its Rising Stars project in Aberdeen.
Rising Stars, which helps parents help themselves, is a weekly group aimed at vulnerable, socially isolated parents who are struggling to bond with their pre-school children.
The group works to reduce isolation, enable social interaction, improve confidence and enhance parenting skills. Over the past 30 years, Home-Start Aberdeen has improved the lives of thousands of vulnerable families, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.
A funding award from Aviva Community Fund would enable Home-Start Aberdeen to fully fund one year’s running costs of Rising Stars, from April 2019.
Projects in the competition with the most votes will be selected as finalists to be judged by a panel of impartial judges. We are appealing to all our friends, families, contacts, supporters, and local communities to vote for ‘Rising Stars’ and help us win Aviva funding.
Voting is easy and you can register online. Each registrant receives 10 votes to cast for their chosen project. Aviva will confirm your account and then you can cast all your votes (10) for Rising Stars.
Voting is open now until midday on 20th November.
“We believe strong families build strong communities. A vote for Rising Stars will make a real difference to families in need,” said Eleanor McEwan, General Manager. “Parents leave us with enhanced parenting capacity, improved self-confidence and practical coping strategies – essential skills for modern family life.”
Please vote for Rising Stars!
